House and Lively Learning

Remote Learning Update
Wow what a term! It's safe to say that everyone has well and truly deserved these school holidays. I have been amazed by the resilience and determination shown by the students this term. We have thrown, caught, kicked, bounced, passed, cried, laughed our way through a whole term of P.E at home. Most importantly we have survived. To the students I applaud you and to the family members at home who have become coach, teammate, photographer, videographer and cheerleader. I thank you for helping keep the students active and being their biggest supporters.
Physical Vibe Superstars
I was fortunate enough to be able to recognise the effort of some students/families who have consistently completed their Physical Vibe remote learning tasks and displayed the school’s values. The lucky students received a football which was hand delivered by either Mrs and Mr Corcoran or myself. It was safe to say the looks on the kids faces were priceless, they were in complete shock but very appreciative of their new footy!

Virtual Footy Day
It was so much fun seeing all the students dressed in their team colours on Wednesday. It is safe to say we have some crazy ‘one-eyed’ supporters out there (me included!). Well done to everyone that dressed up and completed the football skills lessons.
Our 2021 Foundation students also took part in the day and it was great to see their smiling faces. I am super excited to meet you all in person.
We had lots of students also take part in the A.F.L. themed Kahoot Quiz which required the students to identify team colours, mascots, players and even a team song.

Physical Vibe
The artists of CSPS were given an art challenge this week. This consisted of taking a photograph of a family member, 2 or 4 legged and then creating a 3D artwork made of aluminium foil of their chosen subject in the same pose. The skill of making a 3D object from a 2D picture is one that can be challenging as it makes different parts of the brain work together to make this possible. Please be in awe and celebrate with us, this snapshot of the fabulous creations of our amazing artists.
Forward planning notice.
Hi parents,
The remote learning activity for week 1 of Term 4 will be creating a character for CSPS's very own Spoonville. This is a way to celebrate our resilience and our persistence during Remote learning this year.
You will need to buy a wooden spoon per student and one for any grownups that would like to have a part in our special fun, plus any fixings for hair, eyes etc. We are looking forward to seeing the amazing characters you create to go in our 2 special Spoonville community areas.
Many thanks in advance,
Ruth Clements
