BOOK WEEK~BOOK FAIR

BOOK FAIR Catalogue

The catalogue attached has all the book listed and prices attached. 

We haven't received our schools actual books yet for the fair, so we have included pictures from another school's book fair and crossed out the books we are not receiving.

We are so lucky this year to be able to hold our Book Fair during our Book Week celebrations!!

Book Week: 

Week Two of Term Four (17th - 23rd October). 

The theme for Book Week is "Curious Creatures, Wild minds." This year we have decided to have a “Virtual Dress Up Parade” to engage the students and put the fun back into this year! There will be a “Curious Creature Making Competition” held in class during Week One where the students will create a creature and then write a detailed character profile (depending on the grade). These will be displayed during Book Week for everyone to view. Students will also participate in classroom activities based on the 2020 Short-Listed Books.

We encourage students to come dressed-up as a favourite BOOK character or a character in keeping with the theme. Your child’s character should come from a book rather than a current movie/Disney character, unless they were in a book first. If possible, we ask that students bring in the book that their character is from.

Book Week Virtual Parade:  Friday 23rd October at both Campuses

Book Fair

Infants:   Wednesday 21st October

Primary:  Wednesday 21st October

Due to Covid-19 Restrictions the Book Fair will run a little differently this year.

*Students will view the books prior to the Book Fair and complete a Wish List.

*A virtual catalogue will be available in the newsletter and Compass with pictures of the books and their prices.

*Payment can be made by the following options only….

• the correct amount of cash sent in with your child in a zip lock bag. 
• online payment via the website

*Students bring cash or online payment receipt to school and receive their book/s.

*Occasionally books sell out. If this is the case we will order the book in and it should arrive within the week.

Short Listed Books 2020

Both the Primary and Infants Campus have on display the 2020 Short listed books. Students have been enjoying borrowing and reading these books when they come to the library. The winners of the shortlisted books will be announced during Book week. More information on Book week to come. Watch this space.

Please ensure that all outstanding library books are returned as soon as possible.
