Sports Uniform - Wednesday & Friday
Wearing sports uniform on Wednesday and Friday was well received by students in Terms 2 & 3. All students will continue to wear their sports uniform every Wednesday and Friday throughout Term 4.
Exciting New Addition to QKR Items
With independent technology activities now in many aspects of learning, headphones have become a necessary part of each student's learning. To make this easier for families to organise, we are excited to announce that you can now buy your very own St Edward's headphones, complete with a space to write your child's name, as easily as you buy their lunch. Find them under the uniform tab on QKR for only $15.
(Kindergarten classrooms have access to headphones already, so these students do not need to buy their own individual headphones).
Lost & Found
Found this week at the Infants Campus is a girl's silver signet ring. Please see the Office staff to claim.
Second Hand Clothing Pool
Have you recently had a sort through your children’s summer school uniforms and have unwanted items? If so, both the Infants and Primary Clothing Pools are in need of good quality second hand items. Items can be donated or sold on consignment with 20% commission taken by the school. Most second hand items are $5 each, summer tunics $10 and winter tunics $15. Please phone the office staff for further details.

Student Birthday Cakes
At this point in time no birthday cakes/cup cakes are to be bought into our school. Sealed water icypoles or freddo frogs in packaging are great birthday alternatives to share in class. Some COVID guidelines are slowly being relaxed and we will inform parents via the newsletter of any changes. Thank you to our many parents who have been regularly phoning either school office to check on updates.
Guitar Lessons - Primary Students
The Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Musicoffer Guitar Lessons to Primary students at St Edward's each Wednesday during the school term conducted at the school by local musician James Craswell. If your child is interested in learning, and has their own guitar, enrolment forms are available on The Con website https://thecon.com.au/ or from the Primary Campus Office. Enrolment forms must be completed before any music lessons can commence. If you have any questions regarding these lessons, please phone The Con on 6766 6911 and ask to speak to Ian Hocquard.
COMPASS PARENT PORTAL
All parents/carers have been provided with their Compass login details. The Parent Portal allows parents to be able to:
- Book your Parent/Student/Teacher conferences
- View up-to-date class and school attendance information
- Approve past absences for your child
- Enter upcoming absences for your child
- Access your child's Student Semester Reports
- Download, print and approve upcoming excursions
- Update your registered email and mobile number (used for SMS alerts)
- Access information regarding upcoming events and news
Access to Compass is quick, simple, and secure. If any parents are having issues with logging in, please contact either School Office.
Student Absences
Please remember to use the Compass App to explain all FULL DAY absences for your child, within 7 days of the absence occurring. After this time they automatically roll over into the 'unexplained' category and can not be changed.
Please DO NOT use the Compass App to record a PARTIAL absence (eg. attending a doctor's appointment in the middle of the day), late arrival or early pickup as it interferes with the school's Compass Kiosk normal signing in or out of children on arrival or departure.
Student Water Bottles
Please send a water bottle in with your child each day as they are still not able to use the bubblers throughout this COVID-19 time.
