WHERE ELSE TO FIND SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships available through VTAC .
Scholarships available through institutions.
You should spend some time exploring all these opportunities and apply for any scholarships you think you might be eligible for as applications open.
SEAS applications close 9 October (5pm).
Plan your time! Depending on the category, a SEAS application can take several weeks to complete. This is because some categories require supporting evidence, such as financial evidence or a statement of support from someone who can verify your circumstances. You may be required to get evidence from a health practitioner. This evidence can take a while to collect. The application may also require you to provide your own description of circumstances and impact statement, which we recommend you make time to draft before submitting.
CASPer is a scenario-based test, designed to grade the ‘soft skills’ of applicants – their strengths and suitability for the profession.

Deakin Explore is an excellent resource that allows students to kick-start their course and career exploration. Students can start with courses that lead to a career or start with careers to find courses that lead to it. Students can filter courses and careers by what matters to them; each course and carer lists others that are similar thus allowing students to broaden their options, and students can save their favourite courses and careers to access later, and even share them by email, Facebook and even Twitter. Students are encouraged to visit Deakin Explore and familiarise themselves with this excellent resource.
RMIT selection task submissions are now open for the 2021 intake.

Important changes to Bachelor of Nursing VU
Victoria University is introducing the CASPer test (domestic students only) and an ATAR to the applications process for the Bachelor of Nursing for 2021 entry. CASPer is a scenario-based test, designed to grade the ‘soft skills’ of applicants – their strengths and suitability for the profession. While VU is the first university in Australia to introduce CASPer for nursing, it is following the success of universities in Canada and the US which use a similar test for pre-nursing students.
Students are also reminded that besides the CASPer test, they must also meet the satisfactory completion of any Mathematics and at least 4 in IB English/ Lang & Lit.
Browse CASPer and also Preparing for CASPer and book a test at CASPer Test - Dates and Times. Find out more about nursing at VU by browsing Bachelor of Nursing at VU.
