As this is the last issue for the term, check out the latest What Career is That?Learn about another interesting and fascinating job you may or may not have thought of. I hope these insights might answer some of those questions like:

Why study Humanities or Languages?
A career in Anthropology - According to the Good Universities Career Guide, "anthropologists study the origin, development and functioning of human societies and cultures, as they exist now or have existed throughout history. Anthropologists are concerned with the complexities of social and cultural life, including religion, rituals, family and kinship systems, languages, art, music, symbolism, and economic and political systems." Here is a great article why companies like Google and many others have been desperate to hire Anthropologists.
Successful anthropologists:
There are many pathways to your dreams but one way to become an anthropologist, is that students usually have to complete a degree in science, arts, social science or international studies at university with a major in anthropology (preferably at honours level), followed by a postgraduate qualification in anthropology. WHAT ABOUT DESIGN ANTHROPOLOGY?
"Design Anthropology is a lens used to critically engage product designers and product end-users. It provides an ever-evolving tool set for generating insights that ensure the human remains central in the quest to solve the right complex business problems. People-centred has become a buzzword and in many times projects end up leaning more into user/consumer design… Also, all of these trends are somehow anthropocentric, are we designing only thinking of human needs? Deakin Explore is an excellent resource that allows students to kick-start their course and career exploration. Students can start with courses that lead to a career or start with careers to find courses that lead to it. Students can filter courses and careers by what matters to them; each course and carer lists others that are similar thus allowing students to broaden their options, and students can save their favourite courses and careers to access later, and even share them by email, Facebook and even Twitter. Students are encouraged to visit Deakin Explore and familiarise themselves with this excellent resource.

Important changes to Bachelor of Nursing VU
Victoria University is introducing the CASPer test (domestic students only) and an ATAR to the applications process for the Bachelor of Nursing.CASPer is a scenario-based test, designed to grade the ‘soft skills’ of applicants – their strengths and suitability for the profession.
