Being COVID Safe

Thank you to all our community for partnering with us on the Corona-virus journey throughout 2020. At BHS we have a COVIDSafe Plan in line with current government regulations and DET advice. We ask for your support in continuing to implement these safeguards.

The Plan incorporates many elements including;

Stay home if unwell - all students, staff and visitors must stay home if they feel unwell and seek medical advice/testing/isolation
Masks - it is mandatory for all Victorians over the age of 12 to wear a face covering, this includes students at school (some exceptions on medical grounds may apply)
Hand Washing - good personal hygiene continues to be an important defense against infection
Use of Sanitiser - Sanitise in : Sanitise out. We have ample supplies of sanitiser and all adults and students are reminded to make use of this as often as possible
Drink Bottles - Students should bring their own drink bottles and should not drink directly from fountains or bubble taps
Physical Distancing - Maintaining physical distancing will not always be possible in the school environment, but wherever possible this will be encouraged
Visitors to school - Visits to the school should be limited to essential services and operations only
Camps and excursions - Until we are advised otherwise, all camps and excursions cannot take place
Shared equipment - Hospital grade disinfectant is available to staff across the school for use with shared equipment and resources. This is in addition to the use of hand sanitiser
EFTPOS vs cash - We understand that not all students will have access to an EFTPOS card for canteen purchases, but wherever possible, we would prefer contact-less payment at the general office and canteen
Cleaning - The Department of Education has provided us with funds to continue pandemic cleaning services during Term 4. Dolls Cleaning Service will provide regular cleaning plus pandemic cleaning and sanitising, both throughout the school day and after hours
