Year 7 News

As we get ready for our mid semester break, we congratulate every single Year 7 student and their families! The resilience and commitment to your learning we have seen in Term 3 has just been outstanding.

Although this has been a term like no other, our Year 7s have still actively engaged in; Science week, Wellbeing Wednesday, Lunchtime Fun & Wear it Purple Day!

To be a part of such a hardworking and diligent cohort - we are two very proud coordinators!

Use this time over the mid semester break to reconnect with yourself, set new goals and get organised. Always remember we are with you every step of the way. Enjoy your well-deserved break and we will see you in Term 4!

Last week we are had an incursion with Dom Phelan on Cyberbullying. It would be great if you could reflect with your son/daughter to see what they have taken from this and what they can implement.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the parents, for all your support and kind words. You are doing a tremendous job with the students, trying to keep them focused and on task, which we understand can be difficult. To you the students, you are doing fantastic work with your adaptation to learning. Not long now and you can have your well-deserved break.

Year 9 News

Well done on making it to the end of another term Year 9s! We remain really proud of you all. Excellence happens not by accident. It is a process. So keep up your good work.

Special congratulations for excellence goes to Hayden Cormick from 9B, who received a special commendation in the Staedtlar Art Competition earlier this term for his sketch, pictured:

We’re still quite busy with school activities. Last week the Year 9s had an incursion online about communication online, how to communicate and also to become more discerning consumers of information.

We continue to focus on students’ wellbeing in Year 9. Over the past month or so, we have watched videos made specially by our school psychologist giving students tips for tackling procrastination and motivation.

Thank you to all parents for your ongoing support and collaboration with us in term 3.

Lastly, we would like to wish everyone happy and safe term 3 holidays. We hope that the students can enjoy a well-earned break and rest for a couple of weeks. Remember to stay connected with your peers, it is better described as physical distancing, not social distancing!
