Congratulations to the Athletics Team on their performance at the SSATIS Athletics Pennant Challenge on Tuesday. Without our own carnival this year, the team came together differently to usual, and with modified training and carnival programs. The team is to be commended for their commitment to the early morning training, and flexibility to fit in with events that were best for the teams.
There were some exceptional individual performances, and a great deal of determination and perseverance on display. Special mention to Year 8 student Jess Bray who broke the record in the U14 Javelin event with a throw of 36.55m, eclipsing the previous record of 34.63m set in 2000. Results in the top 5 include:

The JSSATIS Basketball roster is in full swing with the students really enjoying getting back into school team sports.
Last week the Mount Carmel Year 3/4 Gold and Navy teams played each other at the UniGym, with both teams showing improvement for the season and displaying great teamwork.
Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered their time to assist with coaching and managing teams, including Bec O’Halloran, Emma Halliday, Rach Sylvester, Louise Ims, Lisa Cranefield, Frances and Tim Conrades and Annie Abbott. Thanks also to Mr Matt Desmarchellier who has been the COVID-19 Officer at the UniGym every Thursday, taking attendance, monitoring social distancing and wiping down the area.
