Helping those in need

The Alumnae Association donated sleeping bags and toiletry packs to Bethlehem House for those in the wider community that seek out their help.

Bethlehem House provide quality crisis accommodation and excellent support services for homeless men and men at risk of homelessness.

Anne Haward kindly packaged up the donations and presented them to Bethlehem House CEO, Stephanie Kirkman-Meikle.

Wall of WOW!

In 2019, a group of Year 7 students formed the Wall of WOW! team and set about interviewing alumnae of Mount Carmel College. The project was called Wall of WOW! because the students wanted to hear all the interesting stories of women who have preceded their time at the College.

Seven women in total were interviewed, which can be viewed by clicking on the YouTube links below.

This year we have assembled a new Wall of WOW! team and that team need more alumnae to interview.

If you are a former student of Mount Carmel, or know someone who is, please make contact with Simon James. You don't need to be famous or have done something groundbreaking - the students just like to share the stories of alumnae. The interviews are filmed and only take around 15 minutes on a Friday at lunchtime.
