Christmas Story Art Competition and Exhibition 2020

Each year students from Years 5 and 6 from each school in the Wollongong Diocese are invited to enter the competition and exhibition, which celebrates the miracle of Christ’s birth and the creative ability of our students to illustrate this story. Congratulations to the six finalists that have been selected from St Joseph’s: Neve D, Kiara M and Neala C from Year 6 and Emily B, Kealen J, and Leila V from Year 5.

From the finalists sent from each school in our Diocese, 52 were selected for the exhibition. This year the Christmas Story Art Competition and Exhibition opening and awards night will be a virtual event and will be premiered on YouTube from 7.00pm on Wednesday 14 October. Details and a link to the event will be provided as soon as possible.

In the newsletter leading up to Christmas, each of the artworks below will be featured along with a written reflection from the student.

Thank you to Mrs. Birac and Mrs. Van Akker and the Stage 3 teachers for their work in preparing students, providing the artistic skills, and reflections on the various scriptures around the Christmas Story.
