Victorian High Ability Program - Year 7 and 8 students

The Department of Education's Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP) is an online program available to government school students in Years 5-8 focusing on extending the skills of high ability students in English and Mathematics. The 10-week program, run by Virtual Schools Victoria, will have four cycles each year until the end of 2022, with the program’s first cohort of students due to begin their studies at the start of Term 4 this year. Each student to take part in the program is centrally selected by the Department, which uses an algorithm to assess students’ eligibility.

Year 7 and 8 students who have been selected to participate in the Term 4 program this year will shortly receive their information packs and consent forms. Please note that there will be another opportunity for students to participate in the program next year during Term 1.
