Calculator tutorials for Year 11 students
I am offering calculator tutorials each week during Period 6 commencing Wednesday 7 October via Zoom (meeting ID: https://zoom.us/j/9764377989). All DP students should have received a Google Calendar invite at the end of Term 3; please check your email.
- Please ensure you have your TI-Nspire CX II on hand - physically practising with the calculator is vital and will help you answer exam questions quickly.
- The exam questions are designed to be completed in a short time frame due to the allowance of the tech.
- I have participated in many webinars and training sessions on the TI-Nspire calculators and I guarantee the faster you are with using the calculator, the better your chances are for achieving a higher result.
- I will provide you with tips and shortcuts and will work through exam-style questions.
- I will choose questions from the AA course, but will also happily answer any AI questions that are brought to me.
In the Year 12 Maths AA exam, Paper 2 requires the calculator; for Maths SL, this exam makes up 40% of your final mark; for HL students, the exam is 30% of your final mark, plus Paper 3 is also tech-enabled; Papers 1 and 2 for Maths AI both require the use of the calculator.
I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and join me for these informative and fun sessions.
