Yr 7-8 Reading at MCC

All students in years 7-8 have regular reading sessions as we know that reading is the gateway to all learning. Each student is given free choice from a range of appropriate material so that they can find something that matches their interest. We track the progress of all students so that we can recognise, encourage and support them. 

Please encourage students to read at least 4 times a week for 20 minutes and complete the quizzes when they finish a book.  

The winter holiday is the perfect time to escape into a book, so encourage your child to put away their screens and curl up in a quiet place with a book!
