MATHEMATICS
We strongly encourage all students to consolidate their skills and understanding in Maths with some learning outside the classroom. Students' Mentor Group teachers and Maths teachers follow up on their homework completion.
Maths homework
All students in Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 have a Mangahigh account, where games and quizzes have been assigned to help them develop their numeracy skills. Your support in encouraging your child to work through these activities would be appreciated.
Here are our expectations for each year group:
Years 7 & 8
4 blocks of 20 minutes of numeracy homework per week.
Complete the assigned Mangahigh activities (3 quizzes and 1 game per week), aiming to get a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal in each task.
Finish incomplete modules in Maths Pathway, if it hasn't been completed in class.
Years 9 & 10
Complete the assigned Mangahigh activities (3 quizzes and 1 game per week), aiming to get a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal in each task.
Finish incomplete textbook or Mathspace work, aiming to get each task done from the document in Google Classroom.
Years 11 & 12
Complete class tasks and ongoing revision and study, as per the requirements for each individual maths course.
