Welcome back to PE and Sport in Term 2. Our sports calendar is already full and we have lots of events to look forward to.

Coming up in Sport this term…

CROSS COUNTRY

St Brendan’s House Cross Country

In Week 3, we will be running our St Brendan’s House Cross Country Events:

Foundation - Year 2: Junior School Cross Country

Approx. 500m. This course will be our Runners Club track

Year 3 - 6: Senior School Cross Country

2 - 3km (depending on age). This course will be the same as last year. Our students have walked it during their PE lesson to ensure everyone understands the course.

Our Cross Country will take place from 1.45pm - 3.15pm. 

DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY

Those students in Year 3 -6 who are selected to represent the school at the District Cross Country Carnival will compete at Woodleigh Senior School on Friday 19th May.

RUNNING CLUB

Running Club Dates for May

Week 2 – Wednesday 3rd May at 8.20am 

Week 3 – Tuesday 9th May at 8.20am (due to cross country on Wednesday)

Week 4 – Wednesday 17th  May at 8.20am

Week 5 – Wednesday 24th  May at 8.20am

INTERSCHOOL SPORT

Weekly Afternoon Interschool Sport

Our Year 5/6 students will be participating in weekly school sports. They have chosen to play AFL, Soccer or Netball. Interschool Sport takes place on Friday mornings. 

Winter Lightning Prem

On Wednesday 7th June, Year 5/6 students will be participating in the Bayside District Lightning Premierships. Students will play a Round Robin style competition against local schools with their weekly afternoon sports teams.
