Building Works Update

This Week's Update

We are thrilled to witness the development of our new building. The excavation works for the new school entrance pathway and staff car park have begun and it is a joy to see the progress. Once completed, parents will have a dedicated pathway to enter the school from Penfold Road.

We have observed the access ramp construction, and the laying of the deck continues, giving us a glimpse of where classes will line up to enter their classrooms. The main entrance stairs leading to the open deck are currently being installed. The finishing touches are being added to the new building section, including plastering of internal walls, installation of the acoustic ceiling, light fixtures, doors, windows, and AC units.

The refurbished part of the old Penfold open space building is also making good progress, with new large windows, door entrances, and skylights to bring natural light into the area. The next few weeks will see the plastering of internal walls and the installation of the ceiling, revealing the shape of the new classrooms. Paving work will soon begin on the pathway between the new building and the Murray Oval and we appreciate the community's patience as we use alternative ways to access the main Penfold building where the year 2 classes are still located. We are excited as we approach the completion of the new building, and the next couple of months will be filled with anticipation as the final touches are applied.
