Secondary Sport
The Term 1 sporting calendar has been packed with incredible sporting achievements across the whole School. Some outstanding results were had in the House Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, the EISM Swimming Carnivals and our Summer Inter-school sport seasons. We’re excited to see what term 2 will bring as we attend the EISM Athletics Carnival, along with a range of changes to Inter-school sports options for the Winter Seasons (outlined below).

House Swimming and Athletics Carnivals 2023
What a great way to start our School year with both the House Swimming and Athletics Carnivals. Both were a huge success, with fantastic results all round. Thanks again to all parent helpers who volunteered their time, we couldn’t have done it without you!
EISM DIVISION 2 & CHAMPIONS SWIMMING CARNIVAL
What an awesome couple of days we had at the EISM Division 2 and Champions Swimming Carnival in the last couple of weeks of Term. Held at MSAC, we had a team of around 50 students represent PVCC across the two carnivals, with some fantastic results. The whole team did a remarkable job to even make it through to the EISM competition, all students involved should be really proud. Special mention to Cooper R and Delandt P who managed to get a couple of podium finishes at the Champions Carnival last week. An incredible achievement by both boys!
Senior EISM Grand Finals – Summer 2023
SENIOR BOYS’ SOCCER
Congratulations to the senior boys' soccer team who were victorious against Eltham College 1-0 in the EISM Grand Final. Well done to Riley on scoring the winning goal. It was a hard-fought match but the boys were outstanding. After being undefeated all season, it was a great way to finish things off. Special thanks to the Premiership Captain Kofi and Coach James Stacey. Well done boys!
SENIOR BOYS’ HOCKEY
PVCC Senior Boys’ Hockey Grand Finalists!
What an amazing game. Skill, skill, skill. The result… PVCC 5, Kingswood 1. A shellacking from a team who were undefeated throughout the season. Great team play boys with awesome passing in attack and a rock solid defence. MVP was Thomas C and goal scorers were Marcus 2, Dany 2 and Leo. Top season boys and coach Padge!!
SENIOR GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
After an epic season, with some huge victories, our girls came agonisingly close to holding up the championship trophy, falling just 3 points short to an impressive opposition.
The girls were unlucky in the GF and should be proud of their efforts all season long!
Shoutout to Matilda, voted as the MVP on the losing side. Awesome game and thanks to coach Helen Jenkins for a successful season!
