Lunchtime concerts
Term 3 has started with a bang in The Arts with a new initiative called as #GigAWeek offering students the opportunity to showcase their visual and performing talents to the school community. With limited opportunities for performance in Semester One, many of our students were ready and raring to go, with Year 12 students Patrick Osias and Regina Ndossi kicking off the lunchtime concert series in Week 1 with an acoustic gig in Ludolph Court (Year 12 Area). Week 2 saw reigning St Norbert’s Got Talent Champions the Plastic Cowboys draw a huge crowd of teachers and students in Adrian Court (Year 9 Area), while Year 12 band 14:25 performed an indoor concert in the Xanten Theatre for Week 3.
Stay tuned for more concerts in the coming weeks including performances from The Zingers, a first show for Galaxy Street as well as numerous other exciting gigs!
Year 8 student Nadia Infirri has been writing and recording her own music for almost three years now, dedicating her life to song writing and performing. Combining and showcasing her talents on various instruments including ukulele, piano, guitar and voice, she would love nothing more than for people to have a listen to her music. Nadia says: “I highly recommend listening to Green Sky if you do get the time.''
Check out Nadia’s music below. Keep up the great writing Nadia - we can’t wait to hear you on the radio one day.
