Principal Report

Dear Parents, Friends and Guardians,

I find myself in conversations regularly on all things related to COVID and I understand why but I also know that there comes a point that this constant immersion can in fact impact on our way of being. I refer to this because our children are experiencing something similar. They listen to your conversations and media outlets are constantly communicating mostly negative messages.

I need to look at what I can control and I need to ensure I am not the one initiating COVID conversation where possible. I need to limit time absorbing all media messaging and I need to promote a healthy lifestyle balance for myself and my family. I ask that you take some time to reflect on your conversations at home with your children. I ask that you look to limit what they are exposed to and that you make some commitments as a family to promote what you see as a healthy lifestyle for both them and yourselves. As parents and teachers, we have a responsibility to keep our children safe and remember this could be a long journey.

Year 4 and 6 camps have been cancelled and your fees will be adjusted. A decision on year 5 camp will be made by the end of week 4 this term. We may be able to have day excursions later in the year and we will look to fund these if they eventuate.

The 2019 Annual Report to the School Community is available on our website and from the School Office. I encourage you to read this document. Check out the virtual tour of our school when visiting the website.
