Classroom News & Student Awards

Happy birthday wishes to Ben, Lexi and Fr Peter.

Senior Class

Congratulations everyone we made it!

Thank you Senior parents for all the hard work and support I’ve seen this term.  It's been an interesting and wonderful time with everyone at school.  During our time back in the classroom the seniors students have had a lot of fun, they’ve been engaging in teamwork activities, attempting to master Double Dutch (skip with two ropes), and lots of brain teasers (some of which confused me but not the seniors).  For Art this week the students made sculptures out of clay, everyone took their time and put lots of effort in!

Mrs Pilgrim and I hope that you all have a good holiday break, make sure to keep warm and safe!

Junior Class

This week we welcomed Miss Williams in to our class.  The students were pleased to meet their new teacher and got to spend some time getting to know her.  Everyone is very excited to have Miss Williams joining our class and we look forward to her commencement on the first day of Term 3.

Thank you to all those parents who were able to make it to our Parent Teacher Interviews on Tuesday night as always it is a terrific opportunity to showcase student progress and discuss any concerns you may have around your child’s progress.  I am excited to hear that Miss Williams will use our existing Seesaw platform as a point of communication and to showcase student learning in the future!  So stay tuned.

A very big thank you to all parents who took the time to wish me well on my new appointment and express their gratitude.  I am pleased to leave you all in the capable hands of Miss Williams and I am certain you will form a great team.  All the best to you all and God Bless you all.

Reading Awards

This week we awarded certificates to Olivia, Shai, Thar Shue for 25 nights of reading so far this year, and certificates and prizes to K'Lu Doh Soe, Tyler, Sophie, Jody for 50 nights.  Keep up the good reading habits during the holidays.  Reading, even just for 6 minutes a day, has so many benefits.

Little Joey Award

This week's Little Joey award winner is Hanna.

Our Little Joeys receive a certificate, a sticker and a voucher or goods donated by a local business.  Hanna's voucher was donated by Cambrelle's.  We are very grateful for the donations from our local businesses.
