Year 9 Food Tech

Year 9 Child Studies 

Year 9 Child Studies students have been looking at family responsibilities and were asked to create an informative & engaging flyer or pamphlet to help parents adopt a supportive parenting style as their baby becomes a toddler. The topics they had to consider were: 

  • Why does my child misbehave?
  • Consistent discipline
  • Fun mood changes
  • Where to get parent support

Economics

Yr 11 and 12 students watched an Economics webinar with the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia Philip Lowe presenting on the current economic climate.

TAS Department

Year 8 Master Chef

Year 8 Master chef have been busy learning about Nutrition and have been making some delicious and nutritious foods. We are now moving on to learning about food styling and photography. They have been taking some great shots of the food they have made for their portfolio.

Year 9 Food Technology

Year 9 Food Technology have been leaning about Food in Australia. They have been working with some indigenous foods and incorporating them into our dishes which have been influenced by our multicultural society. Fusion foods are also popular, where two cultures collide and the result is delicious. eg our amazing matcha crepes. 

 

Year 7 and 8 Technology 

Year 7 and 8 Technology have been working on their practical skills in the textiles room. 

Year 7 are making a basic bag which is handy for carrying their devices from class to class.

Year 8 are learning about sustainability and have been upcycling textiles. We have some creative cushions underway as well as a collection of face masks to keep us safe on our travels from home to school.  

Year 10 Art

Year 10 PASS

During week 9 and 10 the Year 10 Physical Activity and sports studies (PASS) class ran and participated in their own mini athletics carnival which included various activities. Results were taken and over the 2 days the top 3 athletes overall were :
