Breaking the Silence Exhibition (2021)
In Term 4 2021, our students represented Cecil Hills High School in the ‘Breaking the Silence’ exhibition that was held at Oran Park High School on Tuesday 7 November 2021.
It was a very successful event with public education fully represented. Deb Summerhayes spoke beautifully about the importance of this work on the education and wellbeing of our students. Olivia Westman from Carlton Public School performed a song she had written called "Version of Me".
The event showed us very clearly just what our children are feeling about the issue of domestic violence. There were works that displayed great hope about the future and there were works that outlined the horror that is domestic violence.
Congratulations to the following students for their emotional and inspirational artworks: Josephine Zucco, Ava Ha, Belle Comer, Nadia Beryalay, Vicky Phan, Kelly Nguyen, Samantha Ly, Kiara Lovt and Theodora Mouongatonga.
