Our Year 7 students had an absolutely amazing experience at camp earlier this week!
Early this week, our dedicated staff members took took 155 Year 7 students to the Great Aussie Bush Camp at Tea Gardens (Monday 2 May to Wednesday 4 May).
Our Year 7 students were happy and excited as they arrived at school early Monday morning to prepare for the bus trip to Tea Gardens, with students returning to school on Wednesday afternoon. I want to congratulate all the students for their excellent behaviour throughout the camp.
A huge thank you to the staff who gave up their time and did a magnificent job looking after the students: Mr Floriano, Ms Baonza, Mrs Kamil, Ms Kumar, Mrs Shannon and Mr Slobodzian and of course our fabulous Year 7 Advisers, Ms Zaidan and Mr Banks.
A massive thank you and well done to Ms Zaidan and Mr Banks for their expert organisation and knowledge of their year group. They put in a great deal of time and effort to make the camp a big success.
On Monday 4 April, Brent Saunders spoke to our Year 11 students about sexual consent and sexual behaviours as part of Life Ready, which is a compulsory component of senior school. The students were thoroughly engaged. They were also extremely well behaved. The number of questions at the end displayed the level of engagement of the students.
Thanks to Ms Sentic and Ms Hyde for organising this event. The students got a great deal out of this session.
