Raising the Flag

The start of the new school term has seen a change at Cecil Hills High School. The Australian and Aboriginal flags at the front of the school had seen better days and were in need of replacement.

Students from the Support Unit were provided with the opportunity to raise a new Australian and Aboriginal flag. The students gladly accepted the challenge and proudly raised both flags.

Congratulations and thank you to the following students who helped raise the flags: Abdul Barghachoun, Luke Benjamin, Zaeem Rehman, Portia Magallanes, Isabella Ghazaoui and Christian Kupkovic. A special thank you to Mrs. Chan for sourcing the new flags and to Mr. Ford for assisting the students raise the flags.

Come-and-Try Athletics Event

Staff and students from our Support Unit had the most amazing day at the Come-and-Try Athletics Event today.

Aylin and Valentina were able to participate in the 100 metre and the 150 metre sprints in adapted bikes.

This is first time either of them was able to run without using their wheelchairs and they loved every moment.

We would like to thank the NSW School Sport Unit for organising this wonderful event.

Well done to everyone involved!
