Twilight Sports

Sports Carnival.

Thank you to all those who attended our Twilight Sports 2022. We wouldn't have had so much fun without our community present, participating and lending a helping hand. I would also like to thank you our Parents and Friends Committee for providing the delicious sausages and serving drinks at the bar.

Unfortunately, there can only be one winner on the night but that doesn’t detract from the effort from all three Houses and their Captains. The House Captains stepped up and took the lead to help set up, pack up, organise the amazing chants and decorate the marquee areas for their House. The winner of the night was Shorten. Watch out for more sports events each Term to earn more House points for the House Cup awarded at the end of the year.

As always, we started the event off with the House chants. The children practised really hard during their lunch time to try and have the loudest chants. We think they did a wonderful job.

After our House chants, we moved straight into the sprints. I was so proud of how hard all the children tried. We had worked really hard during our PE lessons to improve our sprint skills and I think all the practise really paid off. Well done!

We then moved into our field events. Again, we had practised all our events during our PE lessons so that we could do our best on the night. I think the effort and enthusiasm that the children displayed was fantastic.

The sibling race is always loved and is growing every year! It was wonderful to see so many siblings out there having a turn after cheering on their big brother or sister.

Well done to all the children and we look forward to seeing who takes home the House Cup at the end of the year!

Kind Regards
