Term 2 has got off to a flying start with the short week.  Week one is already finished, how did that happen? The students have all returned to boarding in great spirits, having enjoyed a few weeks off.

Year 12s

The Year 12 students are rapidly running out of time to complete their course, but now is not the time to panic, break it down into manageable chunks and work your way through it and you will be fine.

Winter is Coming

The days are getting shorter and significantly cooler as well.  It is probably a timely reminder that wet weather gear needs to be brought back to the campus for the impending rainy season.

With the cooler conditions approaching fast and with the mask mandates being rescinded, can I please ask that all students and staff become more conscious about sneezing and coughing into your elbow or a tissue.

We need to be proactive in our personal hygiene by washing hands regularly with soap and water.  This cold and flu season could well be a very viscous one as we have had very little international visitors in recent years and therefore may well encounter more ferocious strains of flu than we have seen in the recent seasons.

Thankyou Chris Curran and Residential Staff

Can I take this opportunity to thank Chris Curran for so adequately filling my role over the last seven weeks. He did a brilliant job in the chair keeping everything running like clockwork, despite quite a few staff members being unavailable on occasions due to injury and health.

It was very easy getting back into the routine as everything was well and truly up to speed. Thanks Chris for your efforts.

I would also like to thank all those staff who took on extra shifts when we were short, because no matter what is happening, we still have a residence to keep functioning and students to care for.
