Principal's News

Dear Families,

I would like to thank the parents, teachers, staff, students, and community members who helped make this term a positive experience. I was thinking and doing some Maths and the last time that we had a full uninterrupted term was at the end of 2019, which means our current Year 3s last full term was when they were in Prep. With this term being an unusually long first term the students have done exceptionally well and definitely deserve a well-earned rest.

I would like to thank Miss Jackson for her coordination of the Holy week liturgies and thank the teachers for preparing the students, it was lovely to see so many families come for the liturgies and open book mornings. Continuing on the theme of Easter it looks like the Easter bunny paid a visit to the junior corridor, yesterday afternoon there were many excited Year 1 and 2 students.

Thank you to all the families who donated to the sustainable uniform shop, the shop raised over $1500 for the school, this would not have been possible without the generous contributions of families and the organisation by members of our parent community. You can see here two very special helpers who came to help out in the morning.

The 3-6 students participated in the St Joseph’s Cross Country at spring park, a big thank you to Liam Cleary and Mahla Davies for organising the event and thank you to the parents who helped. The students all demonstrated great sportsmanship and their behaviour couldn’t be faulted well done. Congratulations to the Green Team who came first for the event. With a recent Green and Yellow win, the pressure is on Red Team!

Thank you everyone for a fantastic start to 2022, I hope you all enjoy the Easter break and I look forward to seeing you next Term.
