What's happening in our classrooms? 

The preps have settled in smoothly this term and for writing they are continuing to focus on descriptive writing pieces. 

Students are describing characters in a story using colours, numbers, sizes and doing words.

They have demonstrated the use of high frequency words in their writing and are becoming more familiarised with the writing structure.

Their alphabet knowledge has transferred through to their writing as they begin to independently spell out unknown words.

They are also developing creativity within their writing through more detailed illustrations that match their writing piece.
