Monash SDS 

Parent Group

On behalf of the Monash SDS Parents Group (PG), we’d like to welcome you as part of our School Community in 2022.   The PG are delighted that all students are back at school this year, and it is wonderful to see their smiling faces and hear the joyful noise of laughter and play around the school grounds once again.

The PG hold monthly meetings between parents and staff who work in partnership to facilitate school social events, information sharing and fundraising.  We are committed to making a difference in the school and aim to build a strong network and sense of community.

Some activities organised by the PG in the past include the Mother’s Day Stall, Father’s Day Stall and the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle. We organised morning tea at the school’s 10 Year Anniversary (2019) and fruit platters at the Christmas BBQ.

Our fundraising over the past few years has enabled us to purchase items that enrich the learning experience for our children.  Some examples include: 

• Mats for the Crash and Tumble Room (2019)
• Volleyball net for the pool (2021)
• Christmas gifts for the students (every year)

As a parent, you are an important part of the Monash SDS Community, and we would like to invite you to participate in its activities and events.   We would love your assistance in anyway.  You could volunteer at one particular event, or you might help out on a more regular basis. In return, we know you will meet a great group of people and discover new friends.

The next PG meeting will be held on Tuesday 10 May at 9:30am and we invite all members of the school community to attend.
