Harmony Day

It was lovely to have family and friends attend our Harmony Day assembly.  We are so fortunate to be a part of such a culturally diverse school community.

Currently at Hampstead Primary School, there are 30 different cultures represented across the school.

We were dressed in orange or cultural dress.  Orange is the chosen colour to represent Harmony Day.  Traditionally orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations.  It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.

This week the children will participate in different activities, in particular different art forms from around the world.  Have a chat with your child about what they have participated in this week.
