Room 3

For H.A.S.S. this term Room 3 have been learning about the topic of place and location. At the start of the year, we signed a contract promising to complete a travel blog which showcases all our learning and understanding on the topic.

 Each student created a logo and came up with a name for their blog. So far, we have learnt about the meaning of Geography and why it is important to learn it in school and we have used Google Earth to explore some different places around the world. We have also learnt the meaning of the word ‘place’, what a significant place is and how it can differ for different people. 

Finally, students have explored the relationship Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country/Place and language.

 In these last weeks of school, we will be learning more about the different states and territories around Australia, and how to read and draw maps.
