4th of the 4th

WHAT HAPPENED ON THIS DAY IN 1986

According to Google there were several major events that took place on that day.

It was a Friday, a balmy Autumn day at Child's Road Epping.

Bob Hawke was the Australian Prime Minister with Paul Keating as his Deputy.

Diana Ross had her number 1 single "Chain Reaction" playing on the radio and Billy Ocean had his hit song at number 2, "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going!" (Could that be our theme song?)

Out at the Child's Road Campus of Lalor High School the 'Lalor North High School' was officially opened. So long story short, the 4th of the 4th 2023 is our 37th Anniversary / Birthday of our official opening by The Honourable Ian Cathie, M.P.

In The Year 2023 We Celebrated the 4th of the 4th a little differently...

Speaking from the heart to the people we care most about. Our community comes together to offer the best secondary education in the North.

We create music to their ears with powerful testimonials from students, parents, teachers and principals.

Creating Art

So much more than Creating Scones

This group of dedicated students ranging from Yr7 to Yr9 Food Technology classes came together tonight to show our community how well our students work together to achieve a goal! Cooperation at its grandest, new friendships were formed, and most importantly, delightful, light scones were produced! Very proud of their achievements!

Many years have passed and with the turning of a page to a new chapter in the history of our much loved Lalor North Secondary College, we have a new Logo and image to embrace.

This is the story of our logo and what it represents…

The eucalyptus leaf represents a nurturing cupped hand. Our Darebin Creek being the life and learning of students’ journey. The indigenous patterning indicates the ancient nature of the land beneath our feet, and the gum leaf the beauty of the natural landscape of our college. The 3 gumnuts represent our values of Imagination Belief and Courage.
