Meet the ESS Team

Susan Cashin:

I have worked part-time at BNWPS for the last 8 years and enjoy the diversity of my job.  I grew up on a dairy farm in western Victoria and am a country girl at heart.  I have 3 older teenage children of my own, and in my spare time, I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, pottering in my garden, scouring Op-shops, reading and playing computer games.

Gia Kaur:

Hi, I am Gia. I have been working in BNWPS since 2021. I live in Brunswick with my daughter. I have done certificate 3 in education support, a master's in fine arts and currently studying Bachelor of Education. I love working with children and am lucky to be a part of this school community where everyone provides great support to each other. I work as an ES, at the front office, and at OSHC. I enjoy painting, drawing, art and craft, movies and music.

Veneta Braybon:

Hi, my name is Veneta. This is my 7th year working at BNWPS as education support. I grew up in Brunswick and love our local community. In my spare time, I like creating and yarnbombing. I share my home with 3 awesome cats, and a very bossy rabbit!

Charlotte Barker:

Hi, I’m Charlotte.   I've enjoyed being part of the BNWPS community for 5 years now.  I love helping kids learn!  My daughter and I have a dog named Darcy and an elderly fish called Spark. In my spare time (What spare time?) I make leadlight windows, crochet and spend time with my parents.

Ella Dunn:

When I'm not at BNW supporting great kids, I'm either at my studio painting, working as a casual kindergarten teacher or working as an art assistant.

I love hiking, road trips, going to gigs and running along the Merri creek with my big black dog named Gary. I love my days at BNW as I am surrounded by inspiring children and no day is ever the same!

Tara Gooding:

Tara juggles many hats at our little school on the hill, (parent, aunt, pizza maker and Education Support staff). On any given day she can be found in the yard searching for lost hats, bottles, pizza trays and occasionally children too. When she isn’t here she likes to share good food and outdoor adventures with friends and family.

Scarlett McKee:

Hi, I’m Scarlett.  I love photography and film. I enjoy seeing live music when I can, and I’m studying a Batchelor Of Education.

Bee Simonelis-Solian:

Hello, my name is Bee. When I’m not teaching at School, I’m usually designing/ making furniture or out adventuring with my kelpie/ springer spaniel, Buddy. Something most people don’t know about me: I used to be a professional skateboarder. My favourite colour is green and I adore being a part of the North West community :)

Darcy Thorn:

Hello, my name is Darcy, and I’ve been an ES at BNWPS for about 3 years. I’m currently in my final year of studying nursing and psychology which is keeping me busy as of late. During my free time, I love playing sports, getting back to my hometown, Broome when I can to see my family, swim at Cable Beach and catch lots of fish!
