Swimming Program

The swimming program is part of the curriculum and a compulsory activity, as directed by the Department of Education, and all students are expected to attend.

Students participate in an intensive program, with daily lessons that run for 40-45 minutes. Over the course of the program from Prep to Year 6, swimming techniques and strokes, rescues and water safety, floating, and treading water will be covered, with the goal of working toward an assessment for the Victorian Water Safety Certificate.

The swimming program for Years 3 and 4 students is from Thursday 27 April to Friday 5 May, inclusive, at the Huntingtower Sports and Aquatic Centre (HSAC) Swim School in Mount Waverley. Details have been published on Compass. Consent and payment of $90 is due now and not later than tomorrow, Friday 7 April.

Details of the swimming program for all other year levels will be advised in due course.
