Alumni Program

The Cranbourne Secondary College alumni program is now in its second year, and it’s proven to be a wonderful way to support students, complement the curriculum and provide real-life examples of different careers.

The alumni program aims to educate, motivate and inspire students to aim high in their current studies and to reach for a rewarding career in their future. It’s also a vehicle for past students to stay connected, be part of the school community and to ‘go back and give back’ to students.

In 2022, we had 12 alum (past students) return to Cranbourne Secondary College to speak to students about their pathway after school, further studies and about the job they do. 

This included a lawyer, a paramedic, a psychologist, an engineer and a filmmaker, just to name a few. Alumni sessions give students an insight into what a job/career is really like, the skills required, studies undertaken and the rewards and challenges of the job.

In 2023, we plan to grow the alumni community and its involvement with the College. There are plans to run an interactive careers event for Year 10’s as they start to select subjects for years 11 & 12 and think about life after school. Alumni can also offer students work experience placement and career/course guidance. Subject-specific sessions will continue throughout the year, where we match an alum to speak to a specific subject, to support learning and provide information about their job and working in that industry.

We encourage all past Cranbourne Secondary College students to join our alumni program. It’s a great way to keep in touch, be part of the school community and stay connected to the people you have been to school with.
