Visual Arts

5/6 students continued to use Autodraw.

This time it was in response to the artwork of Australian artist Howard Arkley.

Students created a room interior that showed depth through sizing and layering of objects.

They also began working on their marble mazes…thanks everyone for the box donations!

3/4 students have continued to use the line techniques and colour theories used by Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

This week we have looked at complementary and analogous colour theories, and begun the process of presenting finished pieces.

1/2 students are using the theme of ‘birds’.

Last week we printed using a variety of colours, this week those printed papers were used to begin constructing bird headdresses.

Foundation students read the book “You are Brilliant!”.

We looked at several pages that showed characters positioned in the very centre of the page.

Students then drew themselves in the middle of the page and used crayons and colour slicks to colour themselves in.
