Music 

Once again, it is our pleasure to welcome you to a wonderful concert with the Australian String Quartet who will visit the College on Tuesday 28 March.  During their visit, the quartet members, who are leaders in their field, will present a leadership forum with College Prefects, Edge and Excel students, as well as a series of workshops with our students.  

The free community concert at 7pm on Tuesday 28 March and will present movements of quartets by Beethoven and Australian composer Nigel Westlake, in a conversational style.  Tickets may be reserved at https://tha.ac/asq

Hamilton Eisteddfod

Hamilton Eisteddfod entries are now open via the Stardom website.  College ensembles will be entered by the music office however individual entries should be made by parents in consultation with instrumental teachers. Students should talk to their teachers now and start to make a plan.

Our Year 7 students are making great progress as they follow the College Instrumental Music Program path with small group specialist lessons on Tuesdays and now full Year 7 Concert Band on Thursdays.  Whilst still a beginner concert band, the Year 7’s will all have the opportunity, to gain valuable guidance from members of the Australian String Quartet when they visit next week.
