Early Learning Centre

The Piccolo’s and Piccino’s have enjoyed spending the last couple of weeks outside engaging in water play while the sun is still shining.   

Within our programs we have been speaking about the Zones of Regulation, and implementing different strategies that allow us to bring our bodies back into the ‘Green Zone’. The children had the opportunity to paint their hand the colour of the zone they were feeling when they entered the room. This allowed the children to express how they were feeling, while justifying why they were feeling that way. Since our initial discussion about the different zones, we have created a ‘Calm Corner’ which allows the children to identify their emotions and better regulate them.
