Library

The library was alive at lunchtime with deep thinkers and strategists in the first formal Chess Club Competition for the year.  Not only were there were 18 contestants competing in three sections but there were hordes of onlookers respectfully watching the masters at work!  Competition was tough.

Congratulations to Fingal Jackson and Lucas Thomson who both won their divisions.

We are awaiting the outcome of Alec Watson and Ben Potter for the third division results.

Huge thanks you to Hiru Henakaralalage for providing prizes and setting the draw along with Chess Club members, Tom Stratman and Katie Richardson.

Watch out for more chess competitions in coming weeks, along with House Chess details.  House Chess will run in Term 2.  It’s not too late to have a go!

The second of our Lunchtime Art activities run tomorrow in the Library as we make and decorate gratitude books.
