Senior House Public Speaking

On Friday 10 March, representatives from each of the College's four Houses were given the topic “What do we need more of in the world?”.  Students were asked to write a 3-minute speech and present the topic as a part of the House Arts Competition and trophy.

We would like to commend and congratulate all students on contributing to a very high-quality pubic speaking event.  The speeches - which are attached below - showcased the depth of thinking, diverse interests, community spirit, empathy and global awareness that our students possess. 

We would like to also publicly acknowledge College Vice-Captain, Christian Ballarin, for his preparation and excellent work as host!

It was an extremely difficult competition to adjudicate, with competition fiercely contested and very close.

1st place: La Salle 

2nd place: McCristal

3rd place: Solomon

4th place: Benilde

Best Year 11 speaker: Liam Casey (La Salle)

Best Year 12 and overall speaker: Austin Warfe (La Salle)
