STUDENT ACTIVITIES

The Inspiring Leaders Program – Attended by our School Leaders and House Captains.

The Inspiring Leaders Program was a chance for leaders of this school to develop their leadership skills and create a project to help out the school community. It was a program for the Year 6 House and School Captains. We are grateful we had the honour of participating in it and have develop great leadership skills that will help us in the year ahead. For the three hours on Thursday morning, we played leadership games, discussed ideas and learnt how to lead this school better. On behalf of the Chilwell PS leaders, we would like to thank the teachers for organising and giving the amazing chance to do this program. We would also like to thank the leader of this program, Karina, for taking her time to teach us about leadership and different skills. The program was amazing, fun and we all had a great time.

District Tennis Carnival:

On March 3rd, Sylvia Cummins, Harvey Patterson, George Gow, and Harriet Povey participated in the District Tennis Competition against other schools in our area. We each played two matches at the competition. Unfortunately, Harriet and Sylvia lost both their games, but Harvey & George won both of theirs. Since they both won all their games, they had to compete in a semi final to decide who would go onto the next level. Congratulations to George who will go on to represent Chilwell PS at the Divisional Level. A big thank you to Peter and Amy for organising this event and thank you to Mrs Jeffreys for coming to cheer us on.
