Year 8

It was a great pleasure to welcome students back to on campus learning. The noise and excited chatter was really special. It was no surprise to see how much the students had grown during their online learning. It was lovely to watch the friendships reignited and the energetic games of tap ball commence in earnest. While it was a positive experience for most students some may have found the experience a little overwhelming. I know that we were all really tired after the first few days. I have been really impressed with the high level of compliance and cooperation on the part of the students. They have made excellent adjustments in following the new guidelines and requirements.

As we move towards the end of the term and semester, I would like to take the opportunity to encourage the students to make a big effort with finishing assessment tasks. I hope that they have had an opportunity to discuss at home the Covid-19 PSE Program that is underway in all year levels. Given the challenging circumstances, personal presentation, hair and uniform requirements have been relaxed to give families an opportunity to purchase appropriate items. I look forward to seeing all Year 8 Students in full winter uniform after the holidays. Please let me know if you are experiencing any issues with this.

Please contact me if you have any concerns of a pastoral nature regarding your son and his well-being. Finally, I would like to express my personal thanks for all your support during these difficult times. I hope you all remain safe and well.
