Term 3 Uniform Expectations

As we move into Term 3 and with the cooler weather now upon us, I would like to take this opportunity to remind both students and parents of the St James College Uniform Requirements.

The following information in regard to presentation is available via the Parent Access Module of SIMON and in the Student Expectations, also on SIMON.

General Appearance

One very practical way that our young men can support St James College is to wear the College

Uniform well.

Students are expected to wear clothing that is clean and pressed. Hair should be well groomed. No extreme hairstyle or colouring Is permitted. Earrings or studs are not permitted. No Jewellery, necklaces or wrist bands, except religious symbols or watches, may be worn with the St James College Uniform. Students should at all times be clean shaven.

The official St James College Uniform is to be worn in its entirety:

• Each school day from the time the student leaves home for school until he returns home.

• When attending school functions and while on school excursions.

• Only on wet days may the College rain coat be worn, over the blazer.

St James College Caps are the only head wear to be worn with St James College uniform.

Shirts are to be tucked into trousers when travelling to and from school and during class.

All articles of school uniform are to be clearly marked with the owner's full name. The use of

name tags sewn on to clothing is highly recommended. The College will endeavour to return marked articles which are found, to their owners; it will disclaim any responsibility for unmarked articles

Winter Uniform - During Terms 2 and 3 students are to wear the following:

Long grey trousers, grey socks, polished black leather lace-up school shoes, long-sleeved College shirt, College tie and College blazer. The jumper may be worn under the blazer during cooler weather. The blazer is always to be worn when travelling to and from school. On very cold days, black only coloured scarves are permitted to be worn with the College uniform whilst travelling to or from school. The St James rain coat may be worn if weather is inclement.

College Sports Uniform (Compulsory for ALL Students)

The full Sports Uniform Is to be worn to school on Physical Education days only. Students are expected to change when required for sports training. Sports Uniform may be worn when representing the College at SIS and lnterschool sporting events.

The Sports Uniform consists of:

• Complete St James Tracksuit

• St James Sports Polo Shirt.

• St James PE Shorts

• The St James Rugby Top is optional for the sports uniform use in cooler weather

• White Sports Socks and correct, appropriate sporting footwear
