Library News for June
Library remote classes - During remote learning students in Year 7 Library English wrote a poem about a favourite topic or time in their lives. Enjoy this wonderful poem by Zach about his pet cat which evokes the pleasure of animals and how they give you peace.
Physical library - Students are back using the physical library during the school day in classes or in year levels at lunchtime. The first “20” students book a spot for lunch via email or in person. On these chilly winter mornings the “before school” 20 seats fill up very quickly.
Loans - All books borrowed this year have been renewed until 6 August, 2020. Have a look at home for any lost or missing books and send them to school this term. Library website – check out the new resources created by Mr Eilers: https://accessit.sjcbe.catholic.edu.au/#!dashboard
Library student leaders – Oscar McKenna, Ben and Thomas Reid have been assisting with sorting out the Fiction genres and continuing to help improve our book collection and programs with new ideas.
New books - Students have been invited to suggest a new book title for the library and can send their suggestions to our new email address. library@sjcbe.catholic.edu.au
Stay warm and read!

When I'm with my Cat
When I’m with my cat, all my troubles go away,
To think that he was once a stray.
When I’m with my cat, I feel like I’m with a friend,
I wish that it would never end.
When I’m with my cat, I make sure he is always fed. Otherwise other animals will end up dead.
When I’m with my cat, we have the best conversations, even though everyone says it’s my imagination.
There is no place I would rather be than with my cat
