Cornerstone through the eyes of our students.
We are blessed as a community to have a number of students with significant interest and gifting in the writing and publication arena - and we are delighted to have this new focus within the newsletter, where you will get to hear from the students themselves.
They will write the content, take the photographs, arrange the layout, edit and prepare for publication. Please revisit this page in the editions going foward, and celebrate Cornerstone Christian College through their eyes.

This year, Mrs Blennerhassett - Cornerstone mum and lover of Milo - has stepped into the role of school chaplain. I was curious to find out more about her job at Cornerstone, so I popped down to her room for an interview.
Why did you become the chaplain?
My youngest child had started year one and I had been thinking for a while about how I could use my social work degree, but fit it with family life. This job seemed like an awesome opportunity to be in my kid’s school working. I really like Cornerstone, and I love the idea of being able to support students at the school that we’re already involved in.
What are you aiming to do in this job?
I would like it to feel completely normal for students at this school to be okay to not be okay, and to be able to go and seek help without fear.
What kind of things do you do in this job?
I make hot Milos, give out Mentos, listen, brainstorm with students; maybe they need some strategies or just some problem-solving help sometimes. I do more listening, and make more Milo!
What do you want the kids at Cornerstone to know?
That everyone struggles at times. That’s why I put the quote on my office door - “Tacos fall apart sometimes and we still love them.” I just want them to know that everyone struggles sometimes and that’s completely fine. It’s actually a really hard job being a student and dealing with life. I just want them to know that I’m on their team. I’m here for them.
Mrs Blennerhassett’s doors are open on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and all day on Fridays. Feel free to visit her if you need to share your worries or even to just say hello!
