My Scottish Dancing Life

by Imogen McClure, St Hildegard

I started competing in Scottish dancing when I was five years old but started dancing when I was three and  my mum competed in dancing competitions.  I have won a number of awards including first to fourth awards and encouragement awards and an honourable mention. The group I belong to is called Glenbrae Celtic dancing and the teachers and students make me feel very welcome when I am at the club. I have made many friends during my years of dancing and I wear a variety of costumes including a kilt, plaid, frilly front, tartan socks and pumps.  We have generations of our family who have been involved in Scottish dancing and I hope to continue my dancing for many years to come.  Here are some photos of me competing in some Scottish Dancing competitions.
