Careers Update

Welcome to Careers 2021!

We have an exciting year ahead for students.

Firstly, congratulations to the Class of 2020. We have 55% of students going on to University pathways and this will increase over the next several years.

It is also an exciting time for the Class of 2021. This year, we have several students undertaking an enhancement study through university. Deakin has informed us that two of our current Year 12 students will be studying Criminology and Psychological Science with them.

This will be included as part of their VCE and attracts points towards ATAR. There will be further appointments to other enhancement studies at other universities in the coming weeks.

Year 10 students will all complete work experience this year. If we have families in the EMC Community willing to place our students for one week to try out working in the real world, please contact the Careers Department; we would be happy to hear from you.

We also have many senior school students (almost 500) undertaking a TAFE qualification this year through the VET in schools program. Please be patient whilst we get information to students about these programs. 

We look forward to meeting and working with EMC families this year.
