BOOK TASTING

This week the library hosted our first Book Tasting Event. 

A book tasting is an event during which students “taste”, or sample, a selection of books that have been chosen ahead of time. They then rotated among tables to sample the books in a range of genres including fantasy, poetry, mystery and fiction. On their “Napkins” students recorded notes about the texts that interested them.

This was a great way for students to sample books they may not otherwise come across! As a bonus, it’s a fun reading activity that gets our students excited about the many new books in our Library!

NSW PREMIERS READING CHALLENGE

The Premiers Reading Challenge for 2023 has begun.

The aim of the challenge is to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students.

The Challenge opened on Monday 27 February 2023 and will close on Friday 18 August 2023.

All participating students have received their login details. All students are encouraged to participate so they will continue to read,  read more, and read more widely,

In the library you will find all your personal favourites and an abundance of books for all PRC levels.

All they have to do now is READ!
