Physical Education Update

CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to all the students who competed at the Cross Country Trials on Friday 3 March. Despite the rain, St Aidan’s students demonstrated determination and perseverance in their races. Students aged 8, 9 and 10 ran 2km, whilst our senior students ran 3km. This is an outstanding achievement for every student who participated. Students pushed themselves and their friends to complete the course. St Aidan’s students not only demonstrate high skills in different sporting domains but their sportsmanship and encouragement of their peers is incredible. A special thank you to the parents who stepped up and helped on the day. Without your support in allowing us to quickly get through the races after the rain it would not have been possible. Congratulations to the following students who will be progressing to the next level.

Earlier this week a compass alert was sent out in regards to the 2023 St Aidan’s Swimming Carnival. Please make sure you have completed the google form for EACH of your children. If you are available to help on the day there is a separate google form on compass for you to fill out. 

It is important to note that students in K-4 will be participating in the intensive swimming program in Week 8 at Des Renford Aquatic. More information regarding this will be sent out shortly. Students in years 5 and 6 will be participating in a “Let’s go surfing” program on Thursday 23rd March and Thursday 6th April

RUGBY LEAGUE

Congratulations to Max I who has progressed through to the MacKillop Rugby League trials. We wish you all the best of luck at the next level.
