Parents & Friends' (PFA)

We were lucky to have beautiful weather for our first event of the year - Picnic on the Green. The sun was shining, the snags were sizzling and the kids had a ball. Thanks to all who attended and who helped out with the BBQ.

Special thanks to the Siegrist family for generously donating the sausages.

Fundraising

For those who missed the Picnic on the Green, the PFA was pleased to hand over a cheque for $7,000.00 to the school which represents the funds raised in 2022. The PFA committee worked with Margaret Carlei and staff to assess the school needs and where the PFA can help with fundraising/funding.

It was agreed the PFA would support funding focused on literacy (e.g. Decodable readers, Big books, novels) and art.

Class Liaisons

We had a strong response for Class Liaisons and have 2 class liaisons for most classes. Thanks to those who volunteered. The class liaisons will help spread the word about PFA events and encourage support. This year each class will be allocated an event to organize which the class liaisons will help lead with support from the class (and the PFA). This will ensure effort is evenly shared across the school community.

Cake Raffle

The cake raffle roster has been completed and sent out to families earlier in the week. This year the PFA has allocated a family each week to make the cake for the raffle (this was drawn at random). If you are unable to make a cake the week you are allocated, please arrange to swap with another family or ask a family who is not on the list.
